Description

Leader of the remnant fighter the disavowed War Queen Estallia continues the fight against the Scarlet Federation.

Appearance

A massive woman, towering nearly twice as tall as any of her daughters, with four massive breasts held back by battle-scarred tank treads wrapped around her chest and shoulders. She’s carrying a pair of swords, crude metal beams forged and sharpened into blades fit for her tremendous size.

One of her eyes is covered in a dark cloth, but the other black orb regards you coldly, sizing you up before she finally speaks.

History/Personality/Information of Note

Estallia, aka the War Queen, is the only one of her kind to fight on the front lines. Led a battalion of her own daughters into combat, apparently quite effectively.

Interactions

She will appear before the PC after defeating Ellira and descending the radio tower stairs.At this point several options are available.

      • Mhen'ga - You know a jungle world that’s full of other honey-swollen yellow insect girls. Maybe the myr would fit in on Mhen’ga?
        • Choosing Mhen'ga will cause Estallia to ask how they will get there.
          • Donate - Give the myr rebels enough credits to buy their way off planet. With so many of them, and one as large as the War Queen... you doubt you could find them passage for less than 30,000 credits.

Combat

Tank

If the Tank found on the ground floor of the Munitions Factory is not sabotaged, Estallia upon engaging in combat will enter Tank mode.

Move Set

The tank does 2 moves each turn, a Tank move and a Queen Move. Defeating her in Tank mode causes her to switch to regular mode.

Regular

Upon engaging in combat with Estallia (tank sabotaged) or defeating her tank mode (tank not sabotaged) she will enter regular combat mode supported by a continous stream of several of herdaughters.During the fight you will be joined by Lieve, (Marik if Gold ambush won) and several Red Commandos. Gold Myr Fighters that are defeated are replaced by new Gold Remnant Soldiers or Gold Remnant Brutes indefinitely.

So long as all the non-PC characters are still standing, Lieve, Marik, and the generics will all exclusively target each other. If all the Red-faction NPCs go down, though, they'll all start targeting the PC. Estallia will exclusively target the PC throughout the fight. As soon as the queen goes down, the fight is over.

If the PC still has the Myr Heavy Tranquilizer Dart the can use the Use Tranquilizer action to induce the Tranq'd Status effect on Estallia with the following effects:

  • Estallia's Physique, Reflexes and Armor are halved.
  • Estallia's Libido increases by 25
  • Estallia's Tease, Drug, and Pheromone resistances become -50 %

Minigame Mechanics

Description

While adventuring in the universe of Trials in Tainted Space, the player may run into a number of minigames that may or may-not be essential to the completion of various quests. Most of these come in the form of puzzles, where solving the puzzle will result in victory, and therefore complete the minigame. These minigames should not be confused with 'contests,' which rely more heavily on Captain Steele's stats rather than player interaction.

Game of Sums

This minigame is a math puzzle in where the player is given a certain set of numbers. With these numbers, the player must choose the numbers that will total a given value.

This puzzle appears:

  • During the engine boot-up sequence during Fall of The Phoenix distress call.
  • Booting up the back up generators in Syri's Quest: The Genetic Opera.

Lights Out

This minigame is an interactive puzzle which is played on a grid using the interface's button system. Each button represents a 'light'. When a light is clicked, that light will switch between On and Off as well as the lights directly above, below and to the immediate left and right of it.

  • In the bomb disarming sequence during the Stellar Tether adventure.
  • In a lock combination of the safe in the Science Quarters during The Kashima Incident.

Example of a circuit

This minigame is an interactive puzzle which is played on a grid using the main screen as the display. On the grid, there are points that represent a source point (open, green circle with blue dot) and destination points (open, green circle) and the rest of the grid is filled with either non-interactive obstacles (closed, red circle) or variously-shaped circuit lines (open, highlight-colored circle). Clicking on a circuit line will rotate it in a counter-clockwise direction. When a circuit line 'connects' with the source point, 'power' from the source will travel through that line. Connecting another line with a powered line will have the power travel through that line as well. Rotating a line away from a powered line will 'break the circuit', and therefore breaking the connection. Having a source point connected to a destination point by powered lines will 'complete a circuit'. Clicking on the Reset button will revert the changes back to the default state of the puzzle.

This minigame appears in The Silence as a 'hacking' minigame for disarming a door and gaining access to an A.I..

In the main game, the minigame also appears:

  • During the Eye of the Beholder quest as an option for hacking the entrance doors if Steele's I.Q. is at 75% or more.
  • During the The Kashima Incident quest as an option for hacking the door to the Captain's Ready Room.
  • The entrance to Overseer MaikeOffice as an alternative to the key card.

Black Jack

Black Jack, a.k.a 21 Pick-up is a card game that is simulated in Trials in Tainted Space. The game TiTS simulates the game by giving the player two cards from 6 normal 52 card decks. The player can ask for the dealer to Hit Them to receive another card or Stand. The dealer also receives to cards with one of them face down. Face cards are worth 10 points. Aces are worth 1 or 10 depending on convenience. PC goes bust if they exceed 21.

  • Appears in the 'Treasure Nova' casino on Zheng Shi.

Objective

The player wants to collect cards so that their score is closest to 21 but doesn't exceed it or to trick the dealer into exceeding 21 and going bust.
